Introduced in Patch 6.31 for the Endwalker expansion, The Omega Protocol (Ultimate) is the first Level 90 Ultimate Raid of FFXIV, and Warriors of Light are doubtless eager to experience this new and engaging endgame content. Clearing this group content is extremely difficult but highly rewarding for those who come out victorious. Participants will be rewarded with Allagan Tomestones of Causality and an Omega Totem, a collectible that can be traded with Nesvaaz at the Totem and Sundry Exchange in Radz-at-Han (X: 10.6, Y: 10.0). The Omega Totem can be traded for stylish and notably powerful Totem Gear, such as the Ultimate Omega Battleaxe for Marauders and Warriors or the Ultimate Omega Wings for Sages.
Unlocking the Omega Protocol Ultimate Raid in FFXIV
There are multiple conditions that be met before players can participate in the new Omega Protocol Ultimate Raid in FFXIV. The first is the completion of the entire Endwalker MSQ, after which “I Wandered Sharlayan as a Minstrel” becomes available as a quest from the Wandering Minstrel at Old Sharlayan (X: 12.7, Y: 14.3).
Clearing “I Wandered Sharlayan as a Minstrel” grants players access to the most challenging Raid content of Endwalker, such as The Minstrel’s Ballad: Zodiark’s Fall or Dragonsong’s Reprise (Ultimate). This quest is not the only quest-related requirement for unlocking the Omega Protocol Ultimate Raid. Players must also have cleared Abyssos: The Eighth Circle (Savage), meaning that players must participate in the Pandæmonium questline and complete all the required Raids to reach and finish The Eighth Circle on Savage.
Once all the conditions above have been met, players must speak with the Wandering Minstrel again in Old Sharlayan at the coordinates (X: 12.7, Y: 14.2). Completing the conversation will finally grant Warriors of Light access to the Omega Protocol Ultimate Raid in FFXIV. While there is no harm in entering this Level 90 Ultimate Raid blindly for the first time, those aiming to master its mechanics to work effectively with their team to achieve will need to conduct thorough research on the Raid. Reaching wikis or watching detailed YouTube videos will be a great help for beating the Ultimate Raid and earning Ultimate Omega weaponry.
