With the E3 getting canceled this year and Summer Game Fest failing to capture the attention and heart of gamers, all eyes are turned to Gamescom 2023. It was considered the second most crucial gaming event of the year. Now that E3 is gone, it is currently the most important event where all major publishers and game developers like Nintendo and Xbox attend and exhibit their games. Let’s go over how to watch the 2023 Gamescom and what titles we can expect.

How To Watch and Attend Gamescom 2023

Gamescom is an annual event that being held in Cologne, Germany, at the end of August. The best thing about Gamescom is that everyone can purchase attendance tickets and experience their favorite games, talk and meet with people who make those games, and celebrate gaming with other fellow gamers.

Gamescom 2023 will be held on August 23 until August 27. On the first day, only media and trade visitors have access to the show floor, where game publishers reveal new games or announce more details about an upcoming video game. The next day everyone can attend the event, check out different booths, and play the available demos for some of the big games like STALKER 2. So if you want to attend Gamescom, head to their website and purchase your ticket now.

As for people who can’t go there, you can enjoy all the shows, most importantly the Opening Night Live hosted by Geoff Keighley. You can watch the stream online on Gamescom’s official YouTube channel or Twitch account. The show will start on August 22 at 11 A.M. PT/ 2 P.M. ET/ 7 P.M. BST/ 1 P.M. CT.

Studios and Games To Expect at Gamescom 2023

The best thing about Gamecom is that players and journalists can play the available demos of the different games there. Apart from that, when a big publisher like Xbox or Nintendo is attending, there is bound to be some new games announced or at least new information about upcoming games being shared.

Demos from some of the most anticipated games of this year, like STALKER 2, Armored Core VI, Payday 3, and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, will be available for attendants to play for themselves. Of course, these are all the confirmed games, and there will be tons of new games, especially indie and smaller titles waiting to be discovered.
