Jeremy Allen White has seen much success and critical acclaim for his role as the chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto in the comedy-drama, The Bear. Now, he’s looking to expand his horizons in a galaxy far, far away. That’s right, Jeremy Allen White is joining the Star Wars universe. However, White’s role is not someone you’d usually expect because he’ll be playing Jabba the Hutt’s son.

The blond, blue-eyed hunky chef is set to specifically join The Mandalorian & Grogu film in Star Wars. Jeremy Allen White will be taking on the role of supposedly a budding crime lord and Jabba the Hutt’s son, as was revealed in the Kristian Harloff show.

White’s role would supposedly be as a voice actor for Rotta the Hutt. Rotta was once featured as an infant in 2008’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie. The 2008 movie is not exactly prominent and even Rotta the Hutt’s character isn’t well-known.

Other than the name and acting method for the role, additional details regarding the new Jeremy Allen White character are still scarce and under wraps but you can expect some teasers and trailers soon. Star Wars does like to keep its bounty hunters and criminals mysterious, after all.

However, being that White’s character will have close ties with Jabba the Hutt (and a son nonetheless), he’ll presumably be a villain. Jabba the Hutt is one of the most well-known villains and crime lords in the Star Wars mythos, often betraying and double-crossing those who were once loyal to him.

A Fathers-and-Sons Grudge Match Could Be Coming

For all we know, White’s Jabba the Hutt successor character could be out for revenge against Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) or the titular character in The Mandalorian. Din Djarin notably defected from his bounty hunter duties to raise the Yoda-esque Grogu.

Such a development could mean The Mandalorian & Grogu could be a poetic fathers-and-sons clash since Din Djarin also adopted Grogue as his son. Still, we can only speculate until the teasers and trailers reveal more.

The Mandalorian & Grogu will be directed by none other than Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Lion King 2019). Meanwhile, the film’s producers and filmmakers are targeting a release date of May 22, 2026, unless some unforeseen delays occur.

As for Jeremy Allen White, his mysterious role in the upcoming Star Wars movie will likely be one of his most important career milestones. The actor notably had a breakout role and became a household name for his role in The Bear TV series.
