While exploring The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you are likely going to want to visit the Great Plateau at some point. This original starting point in Breath of the Wild is here with all the ruins you enjoyed seeing in that older game. If you visit the Temple of Time ruins, you will find an ancient statue that says something odd. It will give you some obscure hint that could have you looking all over to no avail before setting you on the path for A Call From the Depths. Here is the solution to the I Am Trapped Under the Water puzzle in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to Do the I Am Trapped Under the Water Puzzle in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

(Updated on October 2, 2024 – updated links and format)

The I Am Trapped Under the Water puzzle in Tears of the Kingdom might take a long time because you are not given a specific location to go to. Once you find it, it is incredibly simple and fast. Head straight north from the statue you talk to in the Temple of Time Ruins. You will find the Great Plateau North Chasm nearby a pool of water. You need to empty this water.

Go further north, and you can drop down into a courtyard. Turn around, and you will see a cracked rock blockade with water leaking through. Use an explosive and blast it away. All of the trapped water will quickly flood out in a cutscene. When it is gone, go into the valley where the water used to be, and you will find a small Bargainer Statue. Talk to it, and it will tell you to return to the Temple of Time Ruins.

Once you return to the larger angel statue, you will learn that a Bargainer Statue in the Depths has been using this to talk to you. You will then be given the A Call From the Depths side quest, which has you going to each of the Great Plateauโ€™s chasms and throwing stone eyes into the Depths. Going through with this lengthy mission will reward you with a heart container or stamina vessel, so it is worth it.

Given how Tears of the Kingdom is such a large map, the I Am Trapped Under the Water puzzle solutionย is one of the more obscure challenges you will have. Luckily, there arenโ€™t too many more puzzles that will have you blindly walking for so long.
