When a driver was bringing in their vehicle for an oil change, they didn’t stop in time. As a result, a man inside the shop was pinned between the back wall and the vehicle. A Florida woman recorded the entire accident in several videos. However, her comments section didn’t react the way she expected them to.
Paola (@eternalpaola3) shared several TikTok videos after a heart-pounding situation that happened at a Sarasota Jiffy Lube. A driver was coming in for a quick oil change when they didn’t stop in time. They slammed into a person at the shop, pinning him between their vehicle and the wall. Paola recorded the incident, showing the vehicle and the damage. During the initial recordings, the man was pinned and being medically cleared by firefighters and paramedics. Upon checking him for injuries, they could then move the vehicle.
The videos, showing the man bent over the hood of the vehicle, are enough to get anyone’s pulse pounding. But what’s really amazing is that he seems completely alert despite the accident and possible injuries. Paola’s videos show firefighters working diligently to help the man and get him into the safest position possible. But by the third video, things get more chaotic as she posts, “I just wanted an oil change” during all the commotion.
Commenters immediately reacted to Paola’s video account of the accident, with many showing outrage toward her for recording. One commenter immediately posted, “I would’ve dropped my phone and helped.” Another berated her, “I’m actually appalled. Your behavior that day was disgusting on site. For you to post this is actually very telling of your character. I hope they’re able to press charges and somebody makes a cute video for attention when you’re in cuffs.” Another commenter chimed in with: “What a weird thing to film.”
Commenters also demanded an update on the man who was hit by the vehicle, asking if he was okay. To this, Paola posted a fourth update video showing him being removed from the scene on a stretcher. He was alert while this was happening and he was loaded into the back of an ambulance. It’s unclear how serious his injuries were. One commenter added on this video, “I am a victim of crush syndrome. If someone would have posted it all over the internet I would have them in court.” Others asked, “Genuinely what is wrong with you?” At this time, commenters continue to share their outrage and opinions on Paola’s videos as they gain popularity.
