A mom in Caldwell, Idaho, shared the journey her six-year-old son has endured due to his leukemia. With no friends to visit him, as he has remained in a hospital for a year, and with a birthday party out of the question, she asked the internet to organize a birthday parade. The internet responded, and apparently, it will be an hours-long event.
The mom is Ashlie Hillius, also known as LeviStrongMom on TikTok. Her content revolves around her family, especially Levi, her six-year-old son, who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) when he was five. This latest clip has drawn millions of views and thousands of comments from users offering support.
From the get-go, the Idaho mother made her intentions clear: she wanted her son’s birthday to be special. She detailed that Levi was diagnosed with AML in 2025, and he has since “fought for his life” while hospitalized. Fortunately, he is back home for his sixth birthday.
Ashlie continued by saying that Levi didn’t go to kindergarten, so he didn’t have any friends to “stop by and say hello.” On top of that, they didn’t have any family nearby. Therefore, she came up with a creative solution.
“I am trying ot orchestrate a birthday parade from complete strangers,” she said. […] I know this is a long stretch, but I believe in the power of TikTok, I believe in the power of community.”
The Idaho mother detailed where she lived and asked everyone interested in participating to message her for an address. Then, she broke down in tears.
“It’s just a desperate plea from a mom who’s trying to throw together a birthday party for her kid,” Ashlie added. “I just think that he deserves to feel so loved and so special.”
Everyone Is Here
Her son will most likely feel loved and special, as the clip sparked multiple responses.
The overwhelming majority of users focused on making sure her clip went viral, commenting on it to gain traction. One viewer said, “Guys, dance with me so we can help her.” Another one asked, “What’s everyone’s battery percentage?“
Some users were also willing to attend the parade, with some reaching out to the local police and fire departments. Many viewers saw it and reacted, with one saying, “This parade is going to last 6 hours.“
With so many people invested in making sure Levi has a wonderful birthday, now, it’s less about the request and more about how many people actually show up. And when Ashlie shares clips of the parade, the internet will once again do its thing, virality-wise.
