A Wendy’s employee in Minnesota claims that a customer threatened to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on him and his coworkers, all of whom were Hispanic, while they were having a dispute. The incident left netizens furious, particularly after the woman was filmed insisting that her actions couldn’t be racist because she was black.

The employee shared a video of the encounter on TikTok, showing him and the customer arguing outside the restaurant. He maintained that he hadn’t done anything to provoke the woman and had simply been doing his job, taking orders and moving on to the next customer, when the confrontation began.

He claimed the woman became upset while ordering at the drive-thru and, during the ensuing dispute, threatened to call ICE on the workers. The employee said he pulled out his phone and started recording after she made the alleged threat.

In the clip, the woman sat behind the wheel of her vehicle and, according to the employee, three of her young children were seated in the back. It is not clear whether she was responding to an accusation of racism from the staff, but the video starts with her yelling, “You’re racist,” before adding, “I’m black I can’t be racist.”

Immediately after making the remark, she reached through the open window and tried to knock the phone out of the employee’s hand but missed.

As she began driving away, the employee started to taunt her. That appeared to change her mind about leaving. The woman stopped her vehicle, got out and started marching toward the employee. The employee immediately retreated inside the restaurant and closed the doors behind him.

This time, she taunted him, calling him scared before walking away.

However, the confrontation reportedly didn’t end there. According to the employee, the woman later entered the restaurant and knocked the straws onto the floor.

Netizens React to Minnesota Wendy’s Dispute

The woman’s behavior drew plenty of criticism in the comments, although some of the responses also veered into broader racial generalizations. “The fatigue just keeps fatiguing,” one commenter said. “Violent and racist just another normal day reinforcing the stereotype,” someone else remarked. “They need to boycott the public,” another person added.

Viewers also disagreed with the woman’s claim that her race prevented her from being racist.

“I cant be racist cause I’m black is the most idiotic and ignorant thing to say,” one critic wrote. “Any race could be racist to another race. I don’t know why no one [expletive] understands that,” another argued. A third insisted, “Black people can be racist to other minorities,” while a fourth claimed, “They more racist than white ppl.”

As of the time of writing, there have been no further updates about the incident. Meanwhile, the video has continued to gain attention as viewers slam the woman over her behavior and alleged threat to call ICE on the workers.
