An Indiana woman says she confronted an urgent care receptionist after overhearing her make a disturbing comment about people who need Narcan , claiming the healthcare worker said they should be left to “die.” The confrontation was captured on video, and the woman later claimed the receptionist lost her job over the incident.
Kylee (@princesskyleexoxo) said she was visiting a Fast Pace Health urgent care location in Marion when she overheard a receptionist discussing Narcan. According to Kylee, the employee said, “Throw that Narcan away” and suggested people who needed the overdose-reversal medication should be allowed to die. Kylee immediately confronted her.
In the video, Kylee tells the receptionist, “I heard everything that you said back there,” before challenging her to repeat what she allegedly said about people needing Narcan.
“You said, ‘Let them die,'” Kylee tells her.
The receptionist does not repeat that statement in the recorded portion of the exchange. Instead, after Kylee threatens to report her, the employee responds, “That’s okay. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.”
“As a healthcare worker?!” Kylee replies before the video ends.
Kylee later claimed in the video’s comments that the receptionist had been terminated following the incident. However, The Nerd Stash could not independently confirm the termination, and Fast Pace Health does not appear to have publicly addressed the viral confrontation as of publication.
Other commenters immediately reacted to her video, calling out the worker for her harsh words. As one nurse shared, “Me and mine don’t claim her. This is absolutely disgusting and vile. I’m sharing and reporting and so are my nurse sisters sitting in this break room with me.”
Other Indiana commenters shared their own personal experiences dealing with addiction in their lives. One commented, “NARCAN has saved me 3-4 times.” Not everyone agreed with how Kylee handled the confrontation. Some argued that the receptionist was entitled to her personal opinion, while others criticized Kylee for cursing during the exchange. One stated, “As a health care worker she does have the right to her own opinion, she isn’t wrong there. Hate to break it to you but that isn’t even the worst being said/done.” Another added, “Here you are criticizing her while you cuss her out.”
Kylee’s video has continued circulating as viewers debate whether healthcare workers should face professional consequences for comments made about patients outside of direct treatment. While Kylee claims the receptionist was ultimately fired, that outcome has not been independently confirmed.
