Minnesota Man Mocked After Filming Heated Argument With Store Manager on Alleged First Day at Work: ‘How Did He Think He Was in the Right?’

A first day at a new job is usually about making a good impression, learning the ropes, and figuring out where everything goes. One Minnesota man reportedly had a very different plan after getting into a heated argument at what appears to be his workplace.

According to the Reddit post, the argument happened on his first day on the job. The man was filmed arguing with a woman who appears to be a store manager, leaving viewers questioning how he thought he was the one being wronged.

He got fired on his first day

The video was shared on Reddit’s r/PublicFreakout. It begins in the middle of an argument, with the man recording himself while standing near shelves alongside the woman. She tells him to get back to work, explaining that she has things to do and is done discussing the matter.

He isn’t ready to drop it. The man complains that she raised her voice at him and insists he has been nice to her all day. When she tries to walk away, he keeps following her and arguing.

Things get nastier when he starts hurling insults at her, calling her names and making comments about her appearance.

The woman eventually walks behind the counter, where other employees are working. They appear to carry on with their tasks while the man continues ranting nearby. She turns her attention elsewhere, but he keeps shouting insults before heading toward the store’s exit.

The clip ends as he appears to leave.

Internet Reacts to Minnesota Man’s Alleged First-Day Argument at Work

Viewers were quick to point out the irony of someone filming an argument and seemingly expecting the internet to take his side. One commenter joked, “If she had called him a ‘can’t even keep a job at a gas station for one day *expletive*’ it would have been perfect.”

Another wrote, “I love that losers willing post themselves on the internet thinking they are in the right.”

Some viewers saw the exchange as an example of someone refusing to take responsibility for his own behavior. “It really shows how delusional some people are. They are stuck in a perpetual state of victimhood, and they can go post things like this to their choice of online echo chambers full of other professional victims that will back them up,” one person said.

Another commenter was even less impressed with his apparent difficulty following basic workplace instructions: “If you can’t even stock a shelf at a gas station without getting ‘yelled at’, you should probably learn to pick up trash on the side of the road in an orange jumpsuit.”

One viewer suggested his behavior might not be new, writing, “He’s been talking to his teachers like this for years and getting away with it. I hope reality hits hard for this POS.” The question on another viewer’s mind was simple: “How… did he think he was in the right here?”

And one person offered a sarcastic prediction about his future, saying, “What a fine gentleman, I’m sure he’ll go far in life.”

The video does not establish whether he was formally fired, but the incident has been described online as a first-day firing. It also doesn’t reveal what sparked the disagreement before the recording began.
