Is Dancing With the Stars replacing Tyra Banks as host? Banks started hosting in season 29 but has had some real problems since starting. From seeming oddly out of touch sometimes to making comments that fans of the show disliked, Banks is not on solid ground right now. Moreover, Banks is not without her drama, too. The most recent example was her oddly pointing out how all the boys and girls at home ‘wanted’ Charli D’Amelio. A very off-putting thing for an adult to say to a child, no matter the context.
Plus, some of her behavior on America’s Next Top Model was abhorrent. So it’s not that out there to realize that they may just want someone new at the controls of this show moving forward. The show has been suffering, ratings-wise, too, with her at the helm. Now they have moved over to Disney+ in an attempt to get the hype back up. Another way to do that? Bring in a new host. Yes, it’s that easy.
Is Dancing With the Stars Replacing Tyra Banks as Host?
Via Screenrant:
Sources with a direct line to the DWTS executive producers told U.S Sun about what new changes they are planning to make for the upcoming season, including the possibility of replacing Tyra. The producers are focused on gaining more viewers and believe if the show is “more adventurous” and if DWTS can “feature fresh faces,” the ratings on DWTS will increase. The main reason for focusing on Tyra is due to the backlash she has been receiving from fans over the past few seasons since the “main focus of fans’ upset is the host.” However, the upset fan base is not the only reason behind considering a replacement; the source also explained how Tyra is not as open with “promoting the show” compared to other DWTS hosts.
Is Dancing With the Stars replacing Tyra Banks as host? Believe it or not, this one genuinely seems like it’s pointing in the yes direction. Banks has been in the industry for 30 plus years and she’s definitely an icon. In the same breath, that is within itself a decent enough reason to find someone new. Perhaps a tad bit younger and more spritely.
Furthermore, replacing her as a host does not mean dropping her entirely from the show. It just means livening up the act a bit with some new energy. Any rumors as to who that may end up being? Nope, not a one.
