Diablo 4 was one of the anticipated games of this year. Still, fans weren’t sure whether the game would live up to the previous installments of the series because Blizzard hasn’t been making good games recently, including Overwatch 2. Once the game was released, fans and critics praised it, and it has already become one of the best games of this year that recently received a new update as well. Since its release on major consoles and PC, fans have also been wondering about Nintendo Switch. Speaking of handheld games, check our guide on whether you can play the game on Steam Deck or not. So here is the answer to whether Diablo 4 is coming to Nintendo Switch.

Will Diablo 4 Be Released for Nintendo Switch?

Diablo IV | Launch Live Action Trailer

Diablo 4 is a big game packed with quests to be completed and locations to be discovered. The game is also immersive, making the player think about it all the time and try to spend as much time as possible on it. For this reason, it makes sense to play the game on a console like Nintendo Switch that you can carry with you.

When writing this article, there hasn’t been an official announcement about the Nintendo Switch version of Diablo 4. Apart from not being confirmed, Blizzard Entertainment hasn’t even teased or hinted about the Switch version of the game. It seems the studio prefers to focus on the more powerful platforms for now.

The last installment of the Diablo series, Diablo III, was released for the console in 2018, six years after the game was released for other platforms. If Blizzard has a plan to release the game for Nintendo Switch, it wouldn’t take that long, though. Right now, a lot of games like Fortnite run on the console, so it is safe to say the hardware isn’t the issue.

Nintendo Switch can also be a good market for Blizzard as well. Apart from the abovementioned reasons why Diablo 4 is perfect for handheld games, Switch sold more than 125 million units. This is an opportunity that Blizzard won’t probably pass on easily.

Diablo 4 is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
