Void Armor and Emerald Armor are two of the most popular Armor sets in Roblox Bedwars. One is only available to be purchased through Void Crystal drops, while the other costs precious Emeralds. If we’re simply looking at how much defense an Armor has, one has an obvious advantage over the other. But it seems raw numbers alone do not tell the whole story for the two pieces of equipment.
Roblox Bedwars: Void Armor vs Emerald Armor
First, let’s talk numbers. Void Armor has a 70% damage reduction, while Emerald Armor gives you 84%. As BuenoTheBunny’s video above shows, many Roblox YouTubers have made damage comparison videos between the two Armor. Below, we also have listed how much damage you’ll take from Swords when you’re wearing either Armor.
And as you can see, on paper, Bedwars Emerald Armor’s defense completely overshadows Void Armor. But in practice, Void Armor can still come on top, especially in the first 10 minutes of a match.

Why Void Armor Is Better? Answered
What you have to remember is that it costs only 18 Void Crystals, or 14 if you have the Warrior Kit, to get Void Armor. On the other hand, Emerald Armor will cost you 40 Emeralds, or 36 with Warrior Kit. Void Armor is a cheaper and more effective option than Emerald in Roblox Bedwars.
Obtaining Void Crystals drop from Void Scorpions is much easier than farming Emeralds, which you need 40 of them. Not to mention that you should try getting a drop on someone who’s farming Crystals, too. Most of the time, you’d get enough for both the Armor and Sword from their loot.
But the best reason for using the Void Armor is the gear’s passive skill that lets you block any damage received and reduces knockback. The skill has a 30-second cooldown and will even negate fall damage. If you have the Level 3 +60% Team Armor Protection Upgrade, Void Armor will have the same amount of damage reduction as Emerald Armor anyway.
Simply put, Void Armor is much more cost-efficient and can help your whole team win Bedwars matches faster instead of waiting to be able to buy Emerald Armor.
