The shift continues in the Jay-Z and Sean Diddy Combs rape allegation lawsuit. One week after the accuser filed her suit, she appeared to be backpedaling, admitting to a few inconsistencies when recalling some details. However, some fans think there is more to this than a few fuzzy details.
Jay-Z may be catching a bit of a lucky break in the recently filed rape lawsuit against himself and music mogul Sean Diddy Combs. Last week Jane Doe seemed confident in her account of an alleged rape that took place following a 2000 VMA after-party.
The accuser, only 13 at the time of the assault, initially claimed that Shawn Carter, also known in the entertainment industry as Jay-Z and Sean Diddy Combs, drugged and took turns raping her. At the same time, a female celebrity stood by and watched.
Jay-Z has denied the accuser’s claims all along. But something has changed, and it has very suspicious scandal followers. So far, the accuser has remained anonymous. According to NBC News reports, Jane Doe admits during a recent interview that she ‘made some mistakes.’
“I have made some mistakes” in recollections of that night,” claims Jane Doe. During her statement, she claimed that her father picked her up the night in question. However, her father says he does not recall the night in question. Jane also claims following the assault, she spoke to another celebrity, revealing the assault. However, the celebrity claimed he was not in NYC then.
“This incident didn’t happen,” Carter told NBC News in a statement Friday, “and yet he filed it in court and doubled down in the press,” he added, referring to one of the woman’s attorneys, Tony Buzbee. “True Justice is coming. We fight for victory, not FOR victory. This was over before it began. This 1-800 lawyer doesn’t realize it yet, but soon.” Jane Doe’s father states, “I feel like I would remember that, and I don’t. I have a lot going on, but I mean, that’s something that would definitely stick in my mind.”
Fans Question Accuser’s ‘Mistakes’ In Jay-Z Lawsuit
Jane Doe explains, “I called my dad because he was the only person I trusted at that time. I told him I messed up and I needed a ride home,’ she explained. “We rode home in silence. He didn’t ask me what happened. He didn’t ask me what I did or where I was.”
“Her dad doesn’t recall picking up his young daughter after a 5-hour drive? Something about this suddenly sounds fishy. Perhaps someone or more than one is being paid off to change the story,” claims one commenter.
“Honestly, what is the clearest is what happened to me and [the] route that I took to what happened to me. Not all of the faces there are as clear. So I have made some mistakes,” she admitted. ‘I may have made a mistake in identifying,” claims Doe.
“It was twenty years ago. Of course, the details will be a little foggy. But this is super suspicious. Won’t be surprised to find out that Jane Doe now has a nice fat bank account,” adds another fan.
The new details surrounding the case come just days after Sean Diddy Combs abandoned his bail attempts. It was also revealed that the alleged high-profile female named Celebrity B has also decided to lawyer up in fear of exposure.
In light of her admission, Sean Diddy Combs and Jay-Z’s legal teams are asking that the case be dismissed immediately, calling the entire thing a ‘sham.’ It should be interesting to see how this all plays out in the upcoming days.
However, there are still plenty of alleged accusations and pending suits awaiting to be filed, according to recent reports. So, neither rapper is entirely out of the woods just yet. If things continue to progress for Jay-Z as they have for Sean Diddy Combs, he will be spending the next several months defending himself. But Diddy and Jay-Z may have dodged a bullet on this one, at least for now.
