Jennifer Aniston is a devoted mom to three adorable dogs. The Morning Show star is always sharing photos and videos of the pups on Instagram. When they’re not at home, the canines usually accompany their mom onset of her TV show. There’s no denying the actress loves her furry friends as much as they love her. Like all pet parents, she dreads the day when they pass, which is why she’s contemplating an alternative.
According to Life & Style, the star is considering pet cloning to keep her canines around a little longer.
Jen’s dogs have become her life and she’s researching the possibilities of having them cloned, so that when they do eventually pass it might be a little less painful.
A source tells the magazine that although the idea’s weird, it’s piqued Jennifer’s interest.
This isn’t something she’s going to openly talk about. It obviously sounds pretty kooky, but she’s investigating the possibility. She hasn’t made any decisions one way or the other, but it’s certainly something that she’s curious about.
Jennifer Aniston’s Love For Dogs Began on Friends
Aniston’s devotion to dogs extends beyond her brood. She’s also dedicated to raising awareness for animal shelters. She recently established The Clydeo Fund to support rescue organizations and help animals find their forever homes.
Her love and dedication began with her first rescue dog, Norman, whom she met on the set of Friends. Norman was brought on to appear in a scene with Joey and Chandler. In between takes, Aniston took a shine to the pup. When the trainer said Norman would probably have to retire because he couldn’t hit his mark, Jen decided to take him.
Sadly, Norman passed away in 2011, and “it absolutely wrecked her.” When the time comes to say goodbye to her other pooches, it’s going to be tougher. But the actress’ pals have recommended a solution.
She’s dreading going through that agony again and a few people have suggested she should look into cloning the three pups she has now just to ease the pain of the loss a little.
Aniston’s pups Clyde, Sophie, and Lord Chesterfield have a special place in her heart. “She loves all dogs but these three are like family, they’re more than just dogs to her,” the source explained.
If she could have cloned Norman when he was alive, she probably would have because he was such a special dog, she was so attached to him and she’s equally attached to her dogs now.
Like any pet parent, Jennifer Aniston will do anything for her dogs and keep them around for a long time, even if the method is unorthodox.
