Jennifer Lopez has had a very dramatic 2024. The singer has taken hits in her personal life and her career. She’s also been rumored to have some alleged involvement in the Diddy scandal. However, among all of the ups and downs, JLo’s divorce from Ben Affleck has certainly been at the center of all of the rumors and speculation. Unfortunately, it looks like that’s not about to stop anytime soon.
In Touch Weekly reports that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck officially split earlier this year. JLo filed for divorce from the Batman actor in August. However, since that time not much has moved forward when it comes to ending the marriage. Sources claim that the divorce is at a standstill and that Lopez is “pushing” Affleck to spend more time with her despite their split.
Ben and JLo reportedly can’t figure out how to split without things getting messy. The duo allegedly didn’t have a prenup in place when they tied the knot. Now, they are said to be having disagreements about how to divide up their assets following the end of their two-year marriage. All the while, they’re allegedly trying to keep a connection going for their children, who became close as step-siblings during their marriage.
“It’s been six months since she filed and nothing has been resolved, it doesn’t seem like they’re anywhere close to finalizing the divorce,” an insider dished. “They both said they wanted to do it amicably and have even talked a good game about wanting to consciously uncouple, but that plan seems to be out the window because they can’t agree on how to divide things up, which of course is affecting things.”

For Affleck’s part, he’s said to be struggling as Lopez wants to kick off their divorce on the right foot, which includes spending time together with their once-blended family. However, the actor’s first wife, Jennifer Garner, is also said to want her ex-husband with her and their children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel, for important family moments.
JLo is dealing with this divorce drama as she’s also been making headlines for an alleged possible connection to Diddy. The disgraced rapper is currently behind bars as he awaits trial on sexual misconduct charges. Recently, a lawsuit was filed accusing Diddy, Jay-Z, and an unnamed female celebrity of rape. Although the female celebrity hasn’t been named, Lopez was dating Diddy at the time the crime allegedly took place. She is now under fire as fans want to know if she was involved.
“None of us know how involved she was, whether she reported his behavior or has worked with the police and/or feds – in which case she would be explicitly instructed to not speak about it publicly,” one person pointed out on Reddit.
“It’s not looking good for JLo,” another comment read.
It’s been a tough year for Jennifer Lopez. Her divorce drama with Ben Affleck is just one part of what’s made the past few months challenging for her. Only time will tell if things will get better for JLo in 2025. However, she may have to fight through some adversity before it’s all said and done.
