Affleck has moved out of the home he once shared with his wife. In addition, their recent public outings together have felt awkward and forced. Now, insiders are opening up about a likely cause for the pair’s marital problems and blaming JLo’s alleged addiction issues for the marriage crumbling.
Recently, TMZ took a deep dive into Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with Ben Affleck. The outlet asked experts and insiders for their opinion on the couple, and it wasn’t pretty. Film producer Jon Peters didn’t hold back while speaking about JLo. He called the singer a “love addict” who struggles to be alone with herself and has some serious issues surrounding relationships.

“She’s a love and s– addict — look at the men she’s been with,” Peters stated, per OK! Magazine. “She can’t be alone. She needs a man in her life, she has never spent any real time developing herself. And her career is in the [censored]. And she’s talented.”
Over the years, JLo has been married to Ojani Noa, Chris Judd, and Marc Anthony, all of which ended in divorce. She also broke off and engagement to Alex Rodriguez. She and Affleck also had a broken engagement in the early 2000s before reuniting in 2021 and finally tying the knot.
In addition, Dr. Drew Pinsky opened up with his thoughts on Lopez’s romantic history. The TV doctor revealed that all signs point to the singer being a love addict who easily falls hard and fast in relationships and then struggles to get out once they’re in too deep.
“[There] are actually thousands of people engaged in 12-step programs who identify as love addicted,” Dr. Drew revealed. “The features of that include not having great boundaries, they tend to get sucked into relationships readily and easily.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Jennifer Lopez has been called an addict. Previously, The View co-host Ana Navarro admitted that she believed the singer’s marriage to Ben Affleck was in trouble. Navarro called JLo a marriage addict and compared her to Elizabeth Taylor, who was famously married eight times.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck haven’t confirmed any marriage issues amid the divorce speculation. However, fans believe that they are struggling. If they do officially call it quits, JLo’s next relationship will likely be a hot topic of conversation.
