Jensen Ackles is known for his role as Dean Winchester in the long-running show Supernatural, but now he is widely known for his special role as Soldier Boy in The Boys TV show during season 3. This show is a superhero show based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which were published under the same name as The Boys. A mainline story is a group of vigilantes called “The Boys” coming together to protect the world…kinda like an adult, gory, and crude version of Marvel’s The Avengers. Ackles’ first time as a superhero was in season 3 of the Amazon Prime show.
Will Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy Return?
On Instagram, Jensen Ackles has teased a possible return as Soldier Boy in the upcoming season 4. The actor shared a picture featuring Soldier Boy from season 3 and added a caption of the following: “love these peeps. Can’t wait to throw the suit back on. That’s my Christmas wish.” This might be hard for some fans to believe after the ending we got in season 3…but maybe Ackles is giving us a Christmas present early by giving his hint at his return as Soldier Boy. You can see the post here.
At the end of season 3, Soldier Boy was left alive, but he was trapped and unconscious inside a facility where Mallory watched over him. So it is very likely and possible for his return. So currently Soldier Boy is locked away, and someone would have to free him for him to return…and from the looks of it, it would have to be Victoria Neuman, which will be running for Vice President of the United States during the 4th season. So far nothing is official besides Jensen Ackles’s post, but hopefully, in the new year, we will get some official news. Stay tuned, and we will put you up to date!
