The actor was said to be shaken up by the ordeal and is now on the lookout for spirits in his own 1800s estate in England.
As reported by Radar Online, Johnny Depp came face to face with ghosts during a stay at the Mackay Mansion in Virginia City, Nevada. The estate is known for its spooky activity, and the actor saw it firsthand. He was reportedly woken up by the ghosts of two girls during his stay.

“Johnny says he was sound asleep when something woke him,” the insider stated. “He wasn’t sure if he heard a voice or a sound … but standing at the end of his bed were two young girls and they scared the heck out of him,” the source continued, adding that the girls reminded Depp of the twins from Stephen King’s The Shining.
Depp reportedly didn’t speak to the ghosts, who slowly disappeared before him. However, he did tell the manager of the estate about his encounter the next day. The manager allegedly wasn’t surprised by the actor’s story.
“He said the girls had been seen before. They were believed to have been Emma and Lily, the daughters of a staff member,” the informant dished. “Johnny says he doesn’t scare easily but it was certainly ‘unsettling.’”
Meanwhile, the two girls aren’t the only ghosts who are said to haunt Mackay Mansion.
“Various guests reported seeing two thieves, who were shot trying to rob the onetime owner’s safe of gold bars and silver, a servant woman roaming the second-floor hallway, and an old colonel who is usually seen in the kitchen.”
Johnny Depp certainly isn’t the first celebrity to claim they’ve had encounters with ghosts. People Magazine reports that stars like Kesha, Vanessa Hudgens, Demi Lovato, Kristen Stewart, Kendall Jenner, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kate Hudson, Miley Cyrus, and several others have spoken out about their own haunted stories.
