Judy Greer has been added to the pilot for the ABC comedy Drop-Off. The series is based on the BAFTA-winning BBC series Motherland. The Archer star will be opposite Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt).
In Drop-Off, Judy Greer will play Amanda, the nemesis of her co-star’s character, Julia, and is described as an “alpha mom.” Julia is a struggling mom who tries to balance work and being a parent. With the help of her friends, Calvin and Liz, she might accomplish this goal. Meanwhile, Amanda leads a circle of parents at Julia’s kids’ school as she is one of the more confident moms. She is known for complimenting people when it is actually an insult. She sets people up for disaster, like having Julia watch her children while she plans for one of her infamous dinner parties, which will not go well for Julia.
