Kate Beckinsale had fans worried as she displayed her incredibly slender frame for a glam night in July. Stepping out in an unusual, revealing gown for the Fab Thirties bash in Italy earlier this summer, the 51-year-old actress highlighted her impossibly slim back and shoulders in a two-tone number, choosing a plunging black-and-white gown that showed off her recent weight loss.
When fans on The Daily Mail saw the photos, they deemed the look silly, but some also expressed concern for Kate’s wellbeing. Kate has made summer 2024 headlines for addressing her weight loss, doing so in a clap back to a fan who told her to start doing some “squats.”
Kate Beckinsale Stuns In Backless Ballgown Showing Weight Loss
Drawing the eye to her petite frame in a deep-cut Stephen Rolland couture number, Kate went sleeveless as two strips of black fabric kept her safe up top.
Ditching the bra and with her cut-out snaking its way down to her navel, the Pearl Harbor star added a bouffant ballgown skirt with a heart-shaped white front in silk, letting her column gown fall to the floor with a glamorous train. Flashing her tiny waist and bronzed skin, Kate rocked a netted small hat adding old-school elegance, and the dress was so long, fans couldn’t even see her shoes.
Posing amid guests and outdoors, Kate wowed with a full face of makeup as she enhanced her youthful features, opting for tan eyeshadow and a bold red lip.
Fans Think She’s ‘Emaciated’ Amid Concerns
Going blunt with their response, one fan merely wrote: “Emaciated.” Over 110 users agreed.
“If she loses any more weight she will disappear from existence,” another said.
Appearing to want to avoid commenting on weight, a third nonetheless found themselves saying: “I know you’re not allowed to say it but she’d look so much better if she put on a bit of weight.”
Kate’s Instagram followers have also been remarking on her weight loss, although here, the actress has been vocal in shutting down the skinny-shaming. When a July post wound up with a fan telling the mom of one to up her squat game, Kate waded in. She wrote:
“No, actually, I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer and I lost a lot of eight from stress and grief….”
Continuing, Kate said:
“Quite quickly and then I was in hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my esophagus, which made me vomit copious amounts of blood, and I found eating very hard…”
