Princess Catherine of Wales has triumphantly returned to social media, and fans are rejoicing. The wife of Prince William returned after several weeks of hiatus to make a statement about a worthy cause. In the Prince and Princess of Wales’s official X and Instagram accounts, Catherine, aka Kate Middleton, congratulated well-known adventurer and TV personality Dwayne Fields for his new role as Chief Scout of Scouts UK.
The Princess of Wales wrote in the statement posted on Friday, September 6,
Delighted to welcome @DwayneFields as the new UK chief scout. The Scouts is such an incredible organisation, teaching #SkillsForLife and making a huge difference to young people across the country. Looking forward to working with you! C.
As admirers of the Princess of Wales will know, the mother of three serves as co-president of the Scouts UK. According to the official Scouts UK mission statement, the organization “…actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to contribute to society positively.”
Princess Catherine last addressed the public through social media in a video with her husband congratulating the UK team on its wins and participation in the 2024 Summer Olympics in France.
In Princess Catherine’s recent social media post, many fans left messages congratulating Dwayne Fields on his new position and left kind wishes to the Princess. One user wrote, “The Princess of Wales Catherine, a great partnership in the world of Scouting. Many will benefit from your work. Thank you for all you do!” Another user wrote, “We love to hear from Catherine. Perfect healing to you, HRH Princess of Wales.” Someone else wrote, “Good to hear from you again, Princess. We are all waiting for your return. We love you. Get well soon!“
Princess Catherine To Celebrate Sister Pippa Middleton’s Birthday
In addition to returning to social media, Princess Catherine is celebrating her younger sister Pippa’s 41st birthday on September 6. According to The International News, Princess Catherine and Prince William are said to be attending the big day alongside Pippa and the rest of their immediate family.
While the exact details surrounding the celebrations are unknown, the sisters have always been incredibly close. In addition, Pippa Middleton, married to hedge fund manager James Matthews, has been a constant source of comfort to Princess Catherine as she battles an undisclosed form of cancer.
According to a source close to the pair who spoke to Life and Style magazine,
Pippa is not only Kate’s younger sister, but she’s also her best friend and is loyal to the bone. Kate can trust Pippa with anything she needs to get off her chest. That’s given her a great deal of comfort; Their bond will see Kate through her recovery. Kate has a difficult time trusting anyone who isn’t family. This became especially true after she married William and became a royal family member.
Earlier this year, Princess Catherine made her second official public appearance since she revealed she had been diagnosed with cancer alongside her sister Pippa and daughter Charlotte at the Wimbledon Tennis championships.
When Will Princess Catherine Return To Royal Duties?
Although Princess Catherine of Wales is taking much-needed time away from royal duties to recuperate, leaving many fans happy whenever they hear from her, the biggest question is when she will return in public for work.
Earlier this year, Catherine remarked on social media that while she was not out of the woods yet regarding her preventive chemotherapy treatment, she was making good progress. Since then, the specific date for her return has been marked by confusion as it appears the Princess has suffered several setbacks as she bravely battles cancer.
In the meantime, conflicting headlines and official statements from Kensington Palace, the Prince and Princess of Wales’s official residence, have made things even more confusing as the UK anxiously awaits its Princess’s return.
Earlier this year, Kensington Palace stated that she was set to return for official royal duties by Easter, but she has only made two public engagements. Multiple news outlets have even reported that the Princess has no plans to return to public duty.
One palace spokesperson has refuted these claims and stated that the “Princess will be set to return to official duties when her medical team clears her. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery.“
However, many fans remain hopeful that Princess Catherine’s latest social media post, which mentions that she’s looking forward to working with the Scouts UK, is a positive indication that she is on the mend and will return to work soon.
Prince William Carrying On Engagements As Princess Catherine Receives Preventative Chemotherapy Treatment
While Princess Catherine receives preventative chemotherapy treatments, her husband, Prince William, is holding down the fort and conducting royal engagements.
In addition to attending private affairs such as the funeral of his late uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, he has recently stepped back into the limelight after a brief summer vacation with his family for an official engagement.
On September 4, the Prince of Wales, who was seen sporting a snazzy new beard, attended a private viewing of the Homelessness: Reframed at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
According to the Saatchi Gallery initiative, the exhibit is “…in collaboration with Prince William and the Royal Foundation’s Homewards program…the exhibition [brings to life] the breadth, width, and complexities of homelessness across the country and give people an opportunity to engage with and better understand the stories of those with experience of homelessness.”
While Prince William advocates for a worthy cause, his wife appears close to his mind. Case in point: earlier this year, the Prince went viral as he attended a conservative event with his father, King Charles, who is also sadly battling cancer. The event honored World War II D-Day, which is held annually in Portsmouth.
During a meet-and-greet, Prince William answered a fan’s question concerning Princess Catherine’s health. Prince William graciously responded, “Yes, she’s feeling better. Thank you.” The statement reassured those around the world that that Princess Catherine is on the mend.
