The Princess of Wales Kate Middleton would not return to work unless cleared by her medical team, making her anticipated appearance at a grand event less likely. Barely two months after Kate utilized social media to share the news of her cancer battle and delayed return to public duties, the princess is holding the forte behind the scenes, confident of her recovery. On Monday, the Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood reported that Kate was in the loop on their action plan, remained a “driving force” behind the center and was “excited” by the development.
The announcement, for many royal fans, was a milestone moment that proved just how much the royal mom of three has come in her recovery. However, before whispers of her imminent return to royal duties took form, a Kensington Palace spokesperson quickly debunked it, clarifying that the report by no means suggested Kate Middleton’s return to work.
Kate Middleton’s Medical Team to Determine Her Possible Return to Work
In the statement, the rep explained that the projects spearheaded by the Prince and Princess of Wales were “always on,” with or without their active participation, and the Early Childhood Centre was no exception. The spokesperson continued,
“Early childhood is a huge priority for the Princess and so she has been kept fully updated throughout the development of the Taskforce’s work and she has seen the report.”
Further buttressing this point, a Palace spokesperson confirmed to BBC that while the royal family won’t share further updates on Kate Middleton’s health, they could ascertain her return was entirely dependent on the green light from her medical team. The spokesman divulged,
“The princess is not expected to return to work until it’s cleared by her medical team.”
With Kate Middleton’s team yet to clear her to resume work, the chances of the Princess of Wales making a public appearance next month remain bleak. In that case, Prince William would most likely go stag to the nuptials of their son Prince George’s Godfather Hugh Grosvenor.
The Duke of Westminster is set to walk down the aisle on June 7, tying the knot with Olivia Henson in what has been dubbed the Society Event of the Year. With Prince Harry reportedly turning down the invitation, and the monarch attending another event on the same day, Senior royals would certainly be in short supply.
