Katy Perry may be making headlines for her new “Woman’s World” single, but with her hyped-up profile in 2024, everything the singer does is now news. Last weekend, Katy enjoyed a sunny beach day with fiance Orlando Bloom, soaking up the St.Tropez sunshine in southern France and quickly getting fans talking with her look.
While The Daily Mail noted that Katy was “narrowly” missing a “wardrobe malfunction” in a skirt it described as “minuscule,” one photo did see a gust of wind blow the pop star’s short skirt up a little. Fortunately, Katy wasn’t compromised as she gained style points for her cute, matching outfit.
Katy Perry Hits The Beach After ‘Woman’s World’ Release
Enjoying a lunch date with Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando, Katy showed off her slimmed-down figure in a paisley-print halter top in brown and white, one matching her super-leggy skirt.
Flashing her toned legs and abs as she rocked visible swimwear beneath her boho-style two-piece, the American Idol judge was photographed by the water and heading to the swanky Club 55 beach venue.
Shielding her eyes from beating rays as she wore shades and covered up in a sunhat, Katy couldn’t hide her weight loss. Nor, it would seem, could she battle the stiff ocean breeze, one briefly blowing the singer’s skirt up.
Katy Perry Enters New Era With 2024 Music
The build-up to Katy’s new single has been immense. On the Fourth of July, the singer rocked a bedazzled, patriotic bathing suit as she flexed a bicep for a photo shouting out feminine empowerment. She even rocked a custom dress bearing the lyrics to her new beats while at Paris Fashion Week.
Of her latest release, Katy stated:
“We’re just kind of having fun, being a bit sarcastic with it. It’s very slapstick and very on-the-nose, and, with this set, it’s like, ‘Oh, we’re not about the male gaze, but you really are about the male gaze. And we’re really overplaying it and on-the-nose because I’m about to get smashed, which is like a reset — a reset for me and a reset for my idea of feminine divine.”
There’s more to come, though. Katy will also be releasing her 143 album in September of this year. The response to “Woman’s World” has so far been mixed, with fans largely upset that Katy chose controversial producer Dr.Luke to handle the record.
“A song about female empowerment produced by an abuser of women,” a popular comment read as Katy garnered remarks to a promotional Instagram post for her new track three days ago.
