Whoa! It appears that everyone’s favorite Hollywood star has ditched their iconic long-haired surfer look. Instead, it seems like Keanu Reeves‘ new hairstyle is more in keeping with The Matrix‘s Neo than the unkempt luscious locks that we’d grown accustomed to in his more recent action roles in John Wick.
Yesterday, the 59-year-old award-winning actor was spotted on set while working on his new upcoming film, Outcome, which is set to be directed by Jonah Hill. While the Speed star is known for changing up his hairstyles over the course of his lengthy career, it’s been a bit of a surprise to fans seeing him rocking a more business-like prim and proper hairdo. Only days ago, Reeves was seen in public sporting his signature long shock of dark hair as he left a Good Fortune in Los Angeles, for instance.
Opting for a casual ensemble of blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and brown winter jacket, the Canadian star is currently busy toiling away on Apple Studios’ black comedy starring Cameron Diaz, Jonah Hill, and Matt Bomer. The official synopsis, according to IMDb reports that the pic, “Follows Hollywood starlet Reef as he is forced to confront his problems and atone for his past after being threatened by a bizarre video footage from his past.”
Reeves’ last formal appearance rocking his trademark shaggy locks was in California back in February when he attended the 51st Annual Saturn Awards. During the ceremony, the A-lister was honored with the inaugural Lance Reddick Legacy Award, following his co-star’s sudden death last year.
