Kendall Jenner isn’t receiving the best feedback as college promo for her 818 tequila brand backfires on Instagram. The supermodel has been busy plugging her best-selling liquor brand at various colleges in the Midwest, but fans didn’t seem too impressed that she was targeting such a youthful audience. Posting footage of her college visits to her social media last week, Kendall showed herself mingling with students as she promoted all things 818. Her followers are now saying it’s wrong that she chose colleges. Mom Kris Jenner‘s name even wound up in one of the most-liked replies.

Footage showed Kendall enjoying a college setting as she rocked a trendy jeans outfit paired with a two-layer top.
The Hulu favorite was seen running across a quadrant, also enjoying a bar setting where the camera caught plenty of bottles of 818 tequila. Kendall was shown soaking up the college bar atmosphere as well as downing shots.
In a caption, the sister to Kylie Jenner wrote: “I ❤️ college @drink818
Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan thank you for the warm welcome 🥹🫶🏼.” While fans have left over 1 million likes, the response in the comments section has proven frosty.

Keep scrolling for the video. Gaining over 500 likes was a fan saying: “I’m surprised Kris approved this. Not a smart PR move having your 28 year old distributing and promoting alcohol to college students. Most of which are under age.”
Replying with a reference to photos Kendall posted with female college attendees, another fan said: “She went to bars but if you watch the entire video she also hands off to campus’s and what looks to be sorority houses.”
With even more likes was a likewise disapproving fan who told the catwalk queen: “Kendall should promote 818 in nightclubs, hotels,malls etc.instead of colleges.” Kendall does not appear to have responded to the backlash.
Kendall announced the launch of her 818 tequila brand back in 2021. The company is now an iconic one and is retailed everywhere from the U.S. and Canada to the U.K. Meanwhile, siblings Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner continue to dominate the KarJenner business space with their SKIMS and Kylie Cosmetics brands. Kendall, meanwhile, continues her high-profile modeling gigs. Her latest snag comes via Italian label Gucci, also fronted by pop singer Miley Cyrus.
