Kevin Costner has been in a heated feud with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan for a while now. Costner has finally broken his silence on the matter as he begins to tell his side of the story while Sheridan is probably somewhere rolling his eyes. Since Costner’s departure, the final season of Yellowstone is up in the air, and fans are not happy with the lack of updates. Is Yellowstone a goner?
According to ET, Costner’s involvement with the Horizon film has impeded the final season of Yellowstone. The 69-year-old is said to be prioritizing the three films he is directing over the hit series where he plays John Dutton. However, Costner denies this. He says that Sheridan and the production of Yellowstone have actually gotten in the way of the Horizon films.
Kevin Costner and Taylor Sheridan Continue To Argue
“I don’t want to get down in the gutter with the Yellowstone thing, but what I’m telling you is straight up. I have taken a beating from those f**king guys, and I know a lot of times where it’s coming from,” Costner said. “I’ll just elect not to get into that. But if you know me well enough, I made Yellowstone the first priority, and to insinuate anything else would be wrong.”
Kevin Costner also wants to know why Taylor Sheridan won’t stick up for him. The actor states that he gave Yellowstone almost the whole month of March. However, there was no script.
Costner also said he would have given them an extra week to kill off his character. Or even give him a good send-off. However, Sheridan spun it as if he only wanted to work for one week.
It is truly a messy situation on the set of Yellowstone. Unfortunately, it probably won’t get better any time soon, either. Although the series was a smash hit, the battle between Kevin Costner and Taylor Sheridan might have been the nail in the coffin. Fans are still upset as they wait for any kind of news regarding the final season of Yellowstone.
