Kim Kardashian fans noticed an odd post on her social media account this week. Instead of posting about the 2024 election, a strange post asking fans to give her oldest son, Saint West, some follows online popped up on her Instagram story. It’s unclear if Kardashian wrote the post herself or if Saint possibly got a hold of his mother’s phone and took it upon himself to do a little self-promotion. However, fans weren’t thrilled when they saw the post, bashing the reality star for her parenting tactics.
The Daily Mail reports that Kim Kardashian’s Instagram feed was strangely taken over by a video game post this week. Just hours after Donald Trump won the 2024 election, some celebrities were weighing in on the subject. However, the SKIMS creator appeared to be asking her millions of followers to help build of her son’s Fortnight channel on YouTube.
Kim’s Instagram post had a plain black background and included the name of Saint’s Fortnite channel.
Kim Kardashian’s Strange Social Media Posts Garners Criticism
“Please subscribe to my son’s Fortnite channel on YouTube he will pick the best players to be in his clan,” the post read.
Of course, fans immediately began raising their eyebrows at the post, especially in the hours after the tense election. Some fans even mocked the post using Kourtney Kardashian’s infamous quote to Kim about people in the world dying. She was called out of touch with reality. However, others theorized that Saint may have hacked his mother’s account in order to try to build up his YouTube following.
Previously, Kim revealed that she agreed to let Saint have his own YouTube channel. However, she had some strict rules about his online presence. She even went as far as to draw up a contract and made her son sign it. After that, Kim asked fans to follow his channel, so she may have done so again this time around.
However, not long after Saint was granted YouTube access, it appears that he may have violated the rules of the contract. After making some politically charged posts regarding Kamala Harris, Saint’s channel was taken down.
Fans had plenty to say about Kardashian’s social media post, and many weren’t happy. Her parenting skills were debated. Some even worried for the safety of her four children, whom she shares with ex-husband, Kanye West.
“She seems really hung up on getting Saint’s approval. It’s really sad,” one person wrote.
“This boy needs boundaries and better efforts from his mother,” another weighed in.
“She’s the world’s worst mother,” one comment stated.
“Please tell me she got hacked,” a fourth person said.
The video game-themed post was later deleted. Kim Kardashian hasn’t said anything about it, or Saint’s YouTube channel since. However, some people think that something needs to be done about the American Horror Story star’s children taking on social media.
