Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s oldest daughter, North West, is making a name for herself. She’s already broken into the music business and even portrayed young Simba in a stage version of The Lion King. Recently, the 11-year-old had her own magazine feature. During the interview, the tween sat down with her famous mother to answer some questions about life. However, one comment in particular raised eyebrows.
As North West was grilled by Kim Kardashian on several topics, she couldn’t help but ask her daughter about her home life. OK, serious question. How is my cooking?” the reality star asked her firstborn. In her response, North didn’t hold back.
“You haven’t cooked for us in a long time,” North stated in the Interview Magazine conversation. “Last time you cooked was two Halloweens ago.”
North West Calls Out Mom Kim Kardashian During Interview
North went on to recall that Kardashian had made mac and cheese during her last homecooked meal. “And fried chicken and cornbread,” the SKIMS founder added. “I’m a one-trick pony. Is that one meal good?”
North agreed that her mom’s signature meal was “good.” However, she added that her best thing her mom makes for her is “cucumbers and salt.” The preteen added that if she could only eat one thing for the rest of her life it would likely be that, or onions.
This isn’t the first time that one of Kardashian’s children has called her out for not cooking. In June 2023, her youngest daughter, Chicago West, was asked about what her mother cooks for her, per Page Six.
“Mom doesn’t cook. She has a chef,” Chicago stated.
After hearing North’s comments about Kim not making her kids dinner, fans immediately began to speak out.
“That saddens the heart. You have the money to have a chef teach you. There is no reason not to cook for your family. They will love you for it more than the chef cooking,” one person stated.
“Did you see how her daughter knew EXACTLY the last time that she cooked? Kids remember these things,” another pointed out.
“I can get the fact that they live a very busy life, but to not cook for your kids in two years is pathetic,” wrote another.
“Does this seem like a cry for help to anyone else?” a fourth comment read.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian didn’t appear to be too startled by North West’s comments about her cooking. Fans who watch the family’s reality show know that they have chefs, nannies, and other people to help them with mundane tasks.
