There are a few noteworthy pieces of info here however that do call some things into question. Under Richard’s profile for the game is the inclusion of “Attraction Flow Planning and Documentation”, a mechanic only present in Kingdom Hearts III, so this could also be some sort of demo for that game. This listing can be seen by searching for “Kingdom Hearts 2.9” on LinkedIn while logged in. While this may be fabricated, their profile is linked to other profiles that have been verified as legitimate, and that their page contains a whole range of information about the game designer’s career that is legitimate.
Regardless, no credible sources from Square Enix have verified this information to be true. Only time will tell what Kingdom Hearts 2.9 is, and if it has anything to do with Kingdom Hearts 3. Stay tuned for more Kingdom Hearts news!
