Harington said that they bounced ideas around, but nothing really lit the fire. The Game of Thrones star continues by saying he does not want this to be rushed at all, and if it ever happens, it will not happen any time soon. “I would never have said yes to the idea of developing something with Jon Snow if I didn’t think something was interesting there, and there could have been,” he said. “But HBO cares about the character a lot, and I care about the character a lot, so we don’t want to put out something that is going to sully the character. That’s the worst thing that we could possibly do. So unless we find something in the future that really lands, there’s no point in rushing it. There’s no point in keeping developing for development’s sake and doing something that I don’t want to do.”
In June 2022, rumors began to swirl about a Jon Snow show until Game Of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin confirmed that Kit Harington brought him this idea and that it was in early development.
Some fans may be disappointed with his news, but it may be a good thing. After the controversial ending to Game Of Thrones, not rushing the Jon Snow series could actually save it. Kit Harington seems to have an idea of how he wants things done. So for now, fans will just have to trust him.
