Taking to his Twitter account, Hideo Kojima has promised that there will be blood in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V, his final project working alongside Konami. His promise was also accompanied by a photograph of Solid Snake in which the principal protagonist of the series is seen looking somewhat beat up, which you can see below.
Kojima has also stated that Snake will be losing his iconic blue bandana, stating that while he will be seen wearing it, and it too will look bloody, “story wise, he won’t be wearing (it) as Snake broke up w/ the bandana given by THE BOSS in PW. But…(the) player has freedom of selecting bandana when going on the battlefield.”
pic.twitter.com/2ivH4oKCRN

The translation of the tweet reads:
“Snake will become bloody and injured. Blood is not reset even clear the missions and side OPS. It is a different expression from the blood as a traditional symbol. Whole body will be bloody Continuing the battle. Also it can also wait while hit the drip to be subjected to a serious injury.”
It was revealed a number of months ago that Kojima and Konami will be parting ways, with Kojima Productions being forced to shut down. Further reports also elaborated on what was happening, with some reports then saying that Metal Gear Solid V will be Kojima’s final project with Konami, although it was subsequently shown that Kojima’s name has been removed from the Metal Gear Solid V box-art.
In other Metal Gear Solid V news, Konami recently released a gameplay trailer for the game at this year’s GamesCom, showing off many of the features that will be available during the game, as well as highlighting the Mother Base feature.
Metal Gear Solid V is set to be released on September 1 for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4.
