If there’s one thing Warframe players are consistent with, it’s that they’re always craving for more content. Developer Digital Extremes knows this, which is why they’re releasing the Koumei & The Five Fates Update for Warframe a lot sooner than you probably expected. Koumei & The Five Fates will arrive on all platforms on October 2, 2024.
Koumei & The Five Fates was slated for sometime around Fall 2024, which technically starts in late September. The optimistic expectation was a middle-of-the-season release. However, Koumei & The Five Fates is ready to go at the start of Fall 2024. It was announced in the 2024 Tokyo Game Show, along with new content.
Koumei & The Five Fates Content
For the record, Koumei & The Five Fates is a mini-expansion that adds the following content to Warframe:
- The 58th Warframe named Koumei
- 2 new weapons (Koumei’s signature weapons)
- New cosmetics for Koumei
- New augment mods for Koumei
- Lore addition for Koumei
- A new Shrine Defense game mode
- Five new Incarnon weapons
- New Deluxe Japanese-themed skins for Volt and Nova
- A Warframe rework for Caliban
- Companion Rework 2.0
- Background of the Five Fates art depicting Cetus
- General balance changes and quality-of-life improvements
In addition to the updates and changes, players can also obtain a free Caliban Warframe so they can personally test out the rework. All you have to do is log in between October 2 to October 16, 2024, to qualify for the free Caliban.
It’s a sizable update no doubt, especially the five new Incarnon weapons for endgame players itching for new toys. More importantly, Companion Rework 2.0 is a crucial change to make other companions more useful.
Heck, even just Koumei herself should provide you with enough content to fill the gap while you wait for the much bigger and more explosive Warframe 1999 update coming later this year. Again, Koumei & The Five Fates for Warframe will be released on October 2, 2024 on all platforms.
