Kristen Doute has never been the biggest fan of Lisa Vanderpump, and it’s becoming increasingly clear. For those who need a refresher, Kristen was a mainstay on Vanderpump Rules before being fired in 2020. Throughout her run on the show, the reality star fought incessantly with her boss, Lisa. They exchanged jabs and shady remarks, and based on recent events, that hasn’t changed.
Since leaving VPR, Kristen has appeared on other shows. In 2024, she starred in Prime Video’s The GOAT. She also rejoined the Bravo family in The Valley, which includes Jax Taylor and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Brittany Cartwright. Throughout the first season, Kristen spoke openly about wanting to have a baby. Her partner, Luke Broderick, also expressed his desire to start a family. In November 2024, the pair shared they were expecting their first child. However, it doesn’t seem like everyone is excited for them.
Lisa Vanderpump Shades Kristen Doute Amid Pregnancy Announcement
Although most of the Bravoverse expressed excitement for Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick, Lisa Vanderpump couldn’t care less. During a previous interview with Housewives Nightcap, Lisa revealed that she doesn’t keep up with Kristen anymore and “never talks to” her former employee. When she was asked about Doute’s newly announced pregnancy, Lisa said she “hadn’t heard that.” But it didn’t stop there. The former Real Housewives star had a few questions that left some unsettled.
“How on Earth did that happen?” she asked. “Who’s the father? Do we know?” Lisa went further, adding that she didn’t realize Doute was getting married despite producing Seasons 1 and 2 of The Valley. “I’m not really very involved [with the show],” she said.
However, some people weren’t thrilled about her comments. Kristen uploaded a screenshot of Lisa’s comments to her Instagram Story with a clown emoji next to the headline. Doute’s friend and former co-star, Scheana Shay, also had something to say. “With all due respect, it was kind of shady,” Shay, 39, said. “That’s also unprofessional especially because Lisa is a producer of The Valley.”
“You know who Luke is … he is a cast member of this show [and] this season they got engaged.”
The Valley and Vanderpump Rules
Season 2 of The Valley will premiere on Bravo in 2025. Although Lisa Vanderpump won’t be featured, watchers will see Kristen Doute and her boyfriend, Luke, celebrate their big news on camera. Fans will also get to catch glimpses of Scheana Shay and Lala Kent, which is great for them considering VPR’s upcoming revival.
In December 2024, Bravo announced its plans to revamp Season 12 of Pump Rules with a new cast, leaving several OGs out of work. “What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again,” said Alex Baskin, executive producer of 32 Flavors. “With profound appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can’t wait for the audience to see a dynamic new group of co-workers and friends make their way through life together.”
As for some of the other former Vanderpump stars, like James Kennedy, they’ll also make appearances on The Valley throughout Season 2. Ariana Madix will head back to Broadway in the New Year, while Tom Sandoval will star in Season 3 of The Traitors.
