Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods used to be inseparable. However, that all changed in 2019 when Woods got caught up in a cheating scandal involving Khloé Kardashian‘s on-again, off-again boyfriend Tristan Thompson. Following the drama, Jenner and Woods stopped appearing in public together, which made fans believe they were no longer in each other’s lives. While the cheating scandal certainly complicated things between them, Jenner told Jennifer Lawrence in a conversation for Interview magazine that she and Woods actually never stopped talking.

Jenner’s update comes four months after she and Woods were spotted getting sushi together in Los Angeles in July. It was the first time the pair were photographed in public together in four years. Since Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods appeared friendly, fans assumed they had finally reconciled after the drama with Thompson. As it turns out, they had already made up behind the scenes long before their sushi date. In fact, the stars “never fully cut each other off” following the cheating scandal.
Jordyn and I, we always stayed in touch throughout the years and we would meet up at my house and catch up and just talk through everything.

After secretly remaining friends for years, Jenner and Woods decided they no longer wanted to “hide” their friendship. So, they let the world know they were on good terms by hanging out in public again. In July, the stars were spotted grabbing dinner together at a sushi restaurant. Naturally, fans went wild over the photos since Jenner and Woods hadn’t been seen together in so long.
Although the cheating scandal temporarily caused a rift between her and Woods, Jenner has learned to see the good in their time apart. She said that being on her own for a while taught her a huge lesson.
I think that in a weird way, everything happens how it’s supposed to happen. We were so attached at the hip that we needed space to grow into the people that we were supposed to be. I needed that independence and that confidence because she was like my security blanket for so long.

Lawrence responded by saying she’s “happy” that Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods are speaking again. The actress acknowledged that having “lifetime friends are very important”, and Jenner agreed.
