Aaron Carter’s fiancée Melanie Martin is overjoyed as she finally has full custody of her and Aaron Carter’s son. Not so long After the birth of their 1-year-old son Prince, he was taken away from the couple. The baby was placed under the custody of Melanie’s mom due to the couple’s domestic violence and Aaron’s drug use.
Aaron Carter’s Fiancée Is Honoring The Star Singer
The news of Melanie’s full custody over her son came after a representative for the Instagram model told TMZ that the ruling came after a court hearing in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Melanie was in New York when the ruling was made. However, she received the good news from her legal team. According to her rep, she is excited and on her way to taking full custody of her son. Aaron’s on-again, off-again fiancée also opened up about how she felt following the development.
“I’m honoring Aaron today,” she revealed before adding that she knows the former DWTS star will be proud of her. She also stated that the news came with mixed emotions since she couldn’t stop thinking about how they could have been a family if Aaron didn’t pass. However, she noted that Aaron would be happy knowing she got their son back.
Jane Carter Is Pleased About The News
Melanie is not the only one excited about her having full custody of Prince. Aaron’s mom, Jane Carter, also expressed that she is pleased with the court’s ruling to give the baby to his mom.
“The child should be with the mother,” Jane said.
Prince’s grandma, who is yet to meet him, has only good thoughts toward her grandson. Earlier, she revealed that she wants Prince to inherit Aaron’s assets.
The I Want Candy crooner died on November 5 without leaving a will. However, according to California succession laws, Prince will inherit his personal property and real estate portfolio, reportedly worth around half a million dollars.
Now that Aaron Carter’s fiancée has full custody over their son, she can now face taking care of Prince. Hopefully, Melanie will make Aaron more proud as she gives their son all he would if he was still alive.
