Families showing up for each other is something that should always happen. You don’t want to be on the receiving end if you, for some reason, upset someone’s family. Then you will be going up against a group of people. Well, a Las Vegas restaurant employee wasn’t wise enough to behave and he ended up getting himself in serious trouble. A Black family shared that their niece wrote to them in the group chat to let them know that a White coworker called her the N-word. What did they do? They pulled up to the restaurant and went to talk to the manager. Even the manager looked scared while talking to them. “They should be terminated,” one of the men with the family tells the manager. He then explains that if the racist guy isn’t fired, they would have to take things to the next level.
The same man then asked his niece to point out who called her that and it is a White dude in the background who is pretending like he can’t hear the conversation taking place right next to him. The innocent manager is trying to deescalate the situation as he says, “I’m going to have a talk with him.” The other man then makes it clear that if the manager didn’t have that talk, he would be the one having it. I’m sure that the White guy wasn’t exactly excited about that. In another video, the Las Vegas family revealed that the guy was fired on the spot. He honestly deserved it. They don’t seem like the type of people to mess around, especially with how quickly they pulled up to the restaurant.
People Reacting to the Las Vegas Family’s Intervention
A lot of people sided with the Las Vegas family and even believed that it was funny how scared both the manager and the racist guy looked. One woman noticed how he was suddenly silent as she said, “He real quiet NOW.” Another person described how they would have acted if they were in the White guy’s shoes. “After hearing the ‘I’ll wait around’ I’d be putting lettuce in drinks and ice on burgers,” they wrote. I mean the uncle did sound scary. I would have done the same thing. There was also someone who believed that the entire staff there must be racist too. “Don’t be fooled,The rest of the employees like that too that’s why he felt so comfortable saying it,” they added. I certainly hope this isn’t the case.
Unfortunately, just like how some people agreed with how the Las Vegas family acted, others justified the racism that took place. “All over a word as if they dont use it all the time,” one idiotic person wrote. A White woman also tried to blame the niece as she asked, “Did she start anything. What caused this problem. Funny how we are only getting a small part of this.” There is definitely nothing that could make it okay for that teenager to call his coworker the N-word. Absolutely nothing. The defending continued as one TikTok user also said, “grown man threatening a teenager.” I have to agree with the person who replied to that comment by saying, “as he should when slurs are being thrown around.” It’s simple: don’t be racist and then expect to get away with it.
