If you’ve ever been to Las Vegas, you’ve probably hit its many casinos or enjoyed some of the many parties to be found. There’s also a chance that you’ve witnessed someone losing a considerable sum of money at a table or slot machine. Unfortunately, one Vegas man lost so much on a slot machine that demolishing it completely was the only way to vent his frustration. Despite his woes, the entire situation was recorded by a random passerby who was also trying to enjoy their time in the casino.
The 28-second video shows the aftermath of the man’s loss in a downtown Las Vegas casino, starting with his first attempt to destroy the machine by punching its screen with both fists. He goes in with a few more punches as onlookers slowly back away from the increasingly angry man. Each subsequent attack gets more violent. However, they also get funnier as he eventually manages to smash it to the point of shutting it off. At this point, the man continues to try and vent his frustrations as the cameraman backs away, snickering the entire time.
What I find to be most interesting about this video is that despite having lost whatever amount of money on the machine, wouldn’t destroying it just cost you more? Sure, I understand being upset in the moment, but there’s no way the thought didn’t cross his mind as he wailed on the machine. Commenters agree, with the top Reddit comment reading,
“Great way to lose even more money!”
Hopefully, security was able to intervene and have him removed from the property before he was able to cause any more damage. Realistically, those around him should be careful considering his actions. Who knows what else anger could drive him to do after realizing just how many people are watching him?
