Halloween was an exciting one this year! Between the newest costume trends and all the candy you can shake a witches broomstick at, the newest trailer for the hugely anticipated Netflix adaptation of The Witcher has dropped. With more Henry Cavill and with a deeper look into the introduction of Geralt’s character, it’s shaping up to be a very exciting show. We also got a sneak peek of what fans have been clamoring for, our very own Witcher bath scene! Check out the trailer down below:

The trailer also is promising to be very action-heavy as it showed Geralt much more intense and battle focused then what we saw in the last trailer. The last trailer introduced us to this world that we’re all going to be enjoying soon, while this one was served to hype us all up that much more! The Netflix series won’t take place in or after the game universe but will take heavy influence from the books by Andrzej Sapkowski. This is evident in his ever-present medallion as it looks to be a huge difference from the one represented in the games.

This won’t be the battle-hardened, world-weary, Geralt we have become used to in the games. As shown in the trailer, it seems like it’s going to be taking place in the earliest part of Geralt’s monster-slaying career as we got a small sneak peek at the infamous “Trial of Grasses” used to make Witchers into the supreme monster hunters that they are. We also get a look at the Nilfgaardian emperor Emyr as he sets out to find his lost daughter Ciri, while Ciri looks for Geralt to become a Witcher and fulfill a yet unknown destiny.

At the end of all this, we finally get a release date of December 20, 2019. So mark your calendars and be prepared to delve into this wonderful world of monsters, magic, and mayhem!

Are you excited for this series? Does the trailer get you hyped more for it? Let us know in the comments below!
