LeBron James is a very vocal NBA star, and he has earned that right. After 22 seasons in the league and counting, as well as four NBA championships. LBJ is arguably the best player to ever play the game of basketball. However, recently, things have been a little off for The King, and many believe his time ruling over Los Angeles has come to an end. Is James ready to say goodbye to the Lakers? If so, where is the aging superstar going to end up?
The NY Post reports that LeBron James has been gradually slowing down over the course of this young 2024-25 NBA season. However, the 39-year-old is still a major threat on the court. Bron is still a triple-double threat and can crush an opposing team by himself. Although he and his Lakers have just been off lately. This is a far cry from the Lakers team that won a championship in the 2020 Orlando bubble. Now, the team seems to be without passion or anything to play for. This has led fans to believe that LBJ has “overstayed his welcome” in Los Angeles. This is even more believable since James missed his previous Lakers game for “personal reasons.”
NBA Fans React to Superstar Forward LeBron James Sitting Out for Personal Reasons
While the Lakers are still two games over the 500 mark with a record of 13-11. Some fans still took to social media to speak about the situation.
“Time for him to exit stage left. He’s overstayed his welcome,” said one.
“There is no shame in getting older and slowing down,” wrote another.
Finally, one fan stated, “Perhaps he is away talking to his attorneys about handling the impending Diddy fallout.“
It seems as though most people understand that Bron is either looking to move on or really is just slowing down.
James has been able to accomplish some pretty amazing things in his long NBA career. For example, James is the all-time leading scorer in the regular season. James also came back from being down three games to one in the 2016 NBA Finals, and so many more incredible feats. If James does end up forcing his way to a trade, who is to say what he will do next with his new team?
LeBron James more than likely has something up his sleeve. It is very clear that if the Lakers can not make a big splash at the trade deadline, that The King will find a new kingdom. James is no stranger to leaving for a better situation, but who could blame him for wanting to win? Will LeBron be able to turn the Lakers season around? Or will he be on his way out the door here soon?
