LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been through a lot together over his time out west. However, there may just be trouble in paradise. LBJ might be on his way out of L.A. if they can not get it together fast. The Lakers started out the season fairly strong, as Anthony Davis was on a tear. Although, now, they have slowed down to almost a complete stop. James has been struggling as many believe father time has caught up to The King.
While LeBron James may be showing signs of finally slowing down, that does not mean he is a pushover. The NBA still respects James and his level of play. However, NBC Sports has reported that other NBA teams are officially “monitoring” the situation in Los Angeles. If LeBron is the first to get out of town, Anthony Davis will most likely be right behind him or the other way around. James played for Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games over the summer. It was then that LeBron spoke about how good it felt to play meaningful basketball again.

However, that has not been the case in Los Angeles. The Lakers are not playing meaningful or fun basketball. With LeBron signing his two-year contract extension with a player option last year, if he doesn’t get traded, it is also possible that he will just leave in free agency. Since he has already played alongside his son, and the Lakers are struggling badly, there just might not be anything left for LBJ and L.A.
Bronny James did start the season off with the Lakers. The young man even got to share the court with his father, arguably the best basketball player of all time. However, James Jr. struggled in the NBA, so he was sent down to the NBA’s G League to work on his game. Although that was the plan the whole time, the media still really let Bronny have it.
LeBron James does not have a lot of time left in the NBA. James is 39 years old and is in his 22nd NBA season. Although he is still a triple-double threat, he is slowing down. If James wants another shot at an NBA title before he retires, it seems as though he needs to get out of Los Angeles and off the Lakers. However, nothing is officially confirmed as of right now. Will LeBron be on the move soon? NBA Fans worldwide are dying to know.
