This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

When you’re running around trying to avoid monsters and remember which direction you came from, you’ll come across different doors. There are a total of two different ones that we’re sure you’ve seen already: security doors and regular doors. Both of these can be opened, but by using two completely different methods. If you’re playing multiplayer, then it’s possible that at least one person knows how to open them but otherwise, you’ll have to rely on yourself. Here’s how to open doors with the terminal in Lethal Company.

As we explained above, there are two different doors that you’ll come across, security doors and regular doors in Lethal Company. The regular doors can be opened if you have a key in hand. The keys are randomly generated, so there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to easily find one if you don’t already have one when you come across a regular door.

As for security doors, you’ll need to use the Terminal back on the ship. To do this easily and efficiently, follow these instructions:

  • Memorize the letter and number on the security door when you see it.
  • Communicate with the person back on the ship to open it.

Each of the locked security doors has a letter and number directly on it for someone to plug in at the terminal. If you can’t remember it for some reason, the letter and number are also visible on the ship’s radar. Regardless of what kind of door you’re trying to open, make sure that you communicate that with your teammates just because it’s better for everyone to be on the same page. Otherwise, who knows if you’ll be able to handle whatever it is that you find.
