The next season of Vanderpump Rules has a huge surprise in store as Lisa Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant, PUMP, shuts down for good. For ten seasons, viewers have watched businesswoman Lisa Vanderpump run her restaurant with an iron fist even while her slew of employees gets entangled in their mostly messy personal and love lives. After ten years in the business, Lisa announced the closure of PUMP restaurant, attributing it to lease expiration.
Despite bidding farewell to the establishment, Lisa is positive it isn’t the end of the road for the PUMP brand. Speaking to TMZ, the 62-year-old revealed she was not exactly putting an end to the business. Rather, she has plans in place to reopen the restaurant in another location sometime in the future.
Lisa Vanderpump’s PUMP Restaurant Staff Get New Placement
Meanwhile, Lisa Vanderpump ensured she made provisions for her loyal staff, who have become a part of the PUMP restaurant on and off the screen. According to the businesswoman, she moved her longtime PUMP staff including the chef and bartenders, to TomTom restaurant. The TV personality co-owns the TomTom establishment with VPR costars Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval.
Thankfully, the new spot, which VPR viewers would become accustomed to in upcoming seasons, is only a stone’s throw away. This makes it a somewhat easy transition. Additionally, some of the staples from her PUMP menu would also be introduced to TomTom’s menu. That way, longtime PUMP patrons could savor their favorite specials with no hassle. As for her furniture and kitchen set, Lisa explained that she would store them away in a warehouse that holds her personal belongings.
Lisa Vanderpump first announced plans to shut down her restaurant back in May. At the time, she revealed the closure would take effect on Wednesday, July 5, as they were unwilling to commit to the landlord’s huge increase in rent. She also encouraged fans to visit her two other restaurants, including TomTom and Sur moving forward. The Vanderpump Rules crew was on hand over the weekend to film a farewell scene ahead of the official closure of Lisa Vanderpump’s iconic restaurant. Hopefully, all the stashed items and good tidings will become useful in the near future, in a new PUMP location.
