Little Nightmares 3 Has Been Delayed Out of 2024

The team behind the horror franchise Little Nightmares has just announced that the upcoming third installment will not be making its planned release window of late 2024. Supermassive Games made the announcement via X (formerly Twitter) with a small word about the decision and a new release window. The release date of Little Nightmares 3 has been delayed to some time in 2025.

Although the release window is fairly broad, the developers also announced that there will be more information about the highly anticipated sequel in Summer 2024. This hopefully means we’ll get a more concrete release date and maybe another gameplay trailer.

Little Nightmares 3 was originally announced at Gamescom 2023, and since then, the team has been pleased with the anticipation fans have shown. But the teams at Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco America believe the game needs more time in the oven to get to the quality they want.

The reason for the delay is fairly common, and fans on social media have shown support for the decision. The team just needs more time to achieve its vision for the next trip to the haunting land of NoWhere.

Little Nightmares captivated fans with its childish but creepy baddies that would leave mental scars on any child. A horror game of a completely different type in which you control a little girl wearing a raincoat and your only hope to survive is to run and hide. The sequel, Little Nightmares 2 turned everything up a notch and made the already creepy monster designs even creepier. Now with the delay of Little Nightmares 3, fans have high hopes for the third entry in the series.

The release date of Little Nightmares 3 is sometime in 2025 on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
