Once you reach level 50 in Lost Ark, you’ve finally gotten into the end game, and the whole game’s content will open up some more. One of the Lost Ark end game Quests you will eventually stumble upon is “The Scent of Blood” Quest, located in the Shadow Island zone; here’s how you can complete this very simple Quest.
Lost Ark – “The Scent of Blood” Quest Walkthrough
Quest Description:
“On the Shadow Island is a tower
that’s always surrounded by dark and ominous energy.
A great many adventurers have entered it,
but only a handful of them have returned.”
Quest Objectives:
- Find Mercenary Ganecron on the 2nd floor of the Tower.
- Find Mercenary Kangal on the 4th floor of the Tower.
“The Scent of Blood” Quest is another simple fetch quest in Lost Ark. After reaching your first Tower Dungeon, Shadespire, talk with NPC Rakil on the ground floor of the building. You will obtain this Quest. The first thing to do is just go to the 2nd floor of the Tower and head to the left, you should find an NPC named Mercenary Ganecron lying on the floor. Speak to him, and he will say something about not “trusting this Tower” and telling Kangal to run.
Now keep climbing the Tower to the 4th floor. Walk past the enemies here to the middle-right part of the arena near the wall, and you should see Mercenary Kangal lying motionless on the floor. Not unexpectedly, he’s already dead, stabbed by someone who left the murder weapon on the crime scene. It seems the suspect managed to get down from the Tower, but there’s nothing you can do anyway. So time to go back down while evading all enemies along your way — again. Report your findings to Rakil, and you should complete “The Scent of Blood” Quest.
Quest Rewards:
- 1,650 Silver.
- 165 Roster XP.
- Splendid Destruction Stone Fragment Chest x13.
- Splendid Guardian Stone Fragment Chest x27.
- Splendid Harmony Leapstone Chest x6.
In case one of the Quest NPCs is bugged and does not show up, try closing the game and verifying the game files by right-clicking Lost Ark on Steam > open Properties > and choosing Local Files.
