If you caught the last batch of Love Is Blind episodes, then you know Stephen Richardson has been in the hot seat. The DC local turned reality star became public enemy number one after his finacé, Monica, discovered his inappropriate texts with another woman.
During their breakup, Monica, 37, asked Stephen to pay her back on Venmo for the money she spotted him during their time together. The savage move had fans on cloud nine, with one writing, “Damn. That Venmo is so real of Monica.”
So, did Stephen pay her back? Well, in a now-expired post from his Instagram Story, the electrician said he did pay her back. He created a poll, asking his followers, “How much do you think I owed her?” Richardson didn’t reveal the actual amount. However, he shared that a few guesses were “closer than most.” He followed it up by letting watchers know that he’s more than dependable. “I always pay what I owe,” he said. “Even if it’s the last amount in my bank account while [I’m already] unemployed.”
Love Is Blind: What Led to Monica and Stephen’s Breakup?
Before Monica and Stephen’s Love Is Blind breakup, the pair had an unbelievable start to their relationship in the pods. After several dates, sharing personal details, and falling head over heels in love, Stephen proposed. Following that, the pair headed to Mexico with the other couples to test their connection.
During the trip, they ran into a few bumps in the road, as to be expected. However, things took a turn for the worse when they landed back in DC. Monica discovered “sexual” text messages between Stephen and another woman, which turned her completely off.
“I was scrolling to the top because I wanted to see when they started,” she said in a previous interview. “They started some time ago, certainly before he left to [film Love Is Blind].” As Monica continued, she said the moment felt “like a dagger to the chest.”
Despite being the cast’s villain this year, Stephen still enjoyed filming the show. In a separate Instagram post, he shared a slideshow of photos of him and Monica. “These are beautiful memories of mine that I would never trade for the world,” he wrote. “Both on and off camera. Memories I will forever share with amazing people in an experience I never expected to be a part of.”
