Madonna is re-releasing her SEX book from the 90’s. For those of you who may not know, Madonna made a pornographic book 30 years ago all about sex. It featured poems and musings and photos, some of Madonna with other famous stars like Vanilla Ice, getting nasty. It was quite the collector’s item as you can imagine. There were only so many released back then, right now she has re-released the book, though in a very limited run once again.
Listen, if there is one music icon who understands the power of branding, it’s Madge. Furthermore, to help hype people up she’s taken some sexy, suggestive shots on her Instagram. Well, honestly, Madonna and sexuality have always gone hand in hand. It has always been a big part of her image, and she knows how to work it.

Madonna Spreads Legs For Re-Release of Her Infamous SEX Book
And now, in honor of its 30th anniversary, Madonna, 64, is taking to social media to promote the limited edition re-release of the book as well as an Yves Saint Laurent-sponsored photo gallery show in Miami. And in true Madonna fashion, there’s little subtlety to her message.
In a post on Instagram and Twitter from earlier this week, Madonna faces a mirror while posing in a tight corset, jewels, a fur coat and gloves, surrounded by candles and with the caption “I’d like to put you in a trance. YSL presents SEX-Re-Release Miami Nov 29- Dec 4”.
A third post, on Instagram, features a video of Madonna in the same outfit laying and rolling around on a tabletop and bench, at times holding or concealing her breasts, all set to a Miles Davis soundtrack. Only 800 copies of the book are being re-issued, with a few set to be signed by the singer herself and auctioned off in support of her charity Raising Malawi.
The exhibition of photos from the book — which was co-curated by Madonna — takes place at Art Basel in Miami from Nov. 29 to Dec. 4.
Madonna is re-releasing her SEX book from the 90’s. Some people are speculating that there may be some new pics in it, perhaps taking the stigma away from aging. After all, sex doesn’t stop when you’re old. Furthermore, if you’re Madonna, safe to say sex never stops. But honestly, we were there. 3,000 years ago, when the book first dropped and it was insane.
There had never been a star as mainstream as Madonna to put out smut before. Furthermore, that was her point. The sex is not weird or evil or even that taboo. She did her best to take away some of the societal judgement about sexuality.
And here she is, 30 years later, and doing it again. She’s an icon for a reason.
