Mama June‘s daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird isn’t waiting anymore to flaunt her new love. It has been less than a month since the reality star filed for divorce from her husband of six years, Josh Efird. However, Lauryn seems ready to start a new journey of love even without closing the previous chapter.
Over the weekend, Pumpkin did the unusual when she went social media official with her new boo. His name is Darrin Kitchens, as seen in a joint Facebook post. The lovebirds rocked matching denim looks while heading to a concert. The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alum wore a pair of ripped jeans with a sparkly top, while Kitchens opted for baggy jeans and a black shirt with a nude baseball hat. The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other as Pumpkin sported a big smile. “Zach Bryan tonight. How lucky are we,” she wrote in the accompanying caption. Although it is uncommon for ex-couples in the middle of a divorce to show off a new lover, Pumpkin had the support of fans with her romantic post.
“Get it, Mama!!! Yall have a BLAST,” cheered one fan while another urged, “Mamma P looking cute!!! Enjoy your concert babe!! You deserve it.” A third fan advised:
“You deserve happiness!!! Enjoy the show and enjoy your company.. hope you and josh are still on good terms because ya’ll DID weather a LOT of storms together…”
Mama June’s Daughter Has An Arrangement With Her Ex
According to his profile, Kitchens hails from Macon, Georgia, and works as an equipment operator at Vulcan Materials Company. Despite their joint post, Kitchens still lists his relationship status as single. Prior to going official, sources confirmed that Lauryn Pumpkin had long moved on from her marriage to Josh before filing for divorce. The insider explained that the pair were separated for more than three months before Pumpkin pulled the plug. During that time, they both moved on and found love. Josh reportedly has a new girlfriend named Keely.
The exes are allegedly transparent about their new relationships. However, there are no plans to go on a double date yet. Josh and Pumpkin would instead focus on being cordial with each other for the sake of their four children. Pumpkin filed for divorce on August 2, citing an “irretrievably broken” union. She and Josh will have joint physical and legal custody, and neither party will receive spousal support.
