Players awaiting the arrival of Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam are now able to pre-download the digital version from Nintendo’s 3DS e-Shop. The game is 450 MB, or 3,600 blocks of data, and priced at $40. 3,600 blocks may sound like a hefty amount, but a simple 2GB SD card, even the one that comes with the 3DS, should have far more space than that.
Preloading a digital game is a bit different than reserving a physical copy. Players will receive the game on their system immediately, then that game will unlock and become playable the moment it releases on January 22nd. This allows players to start the game anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours ahead of those who didn’t preload it.
Tons of gameplay videos for Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam have been uploaded to Youtube showcasing the dynamics of the game, which functions primarily like Mario & Luigi with some Paper Mario elements added in.
