Gazillion Entertainment has lovingly built a PC following for their Marvel Heros RPG title. A new announcement issued by Gazillion’s CEO, David Von Dorman, has now confirmed that the spinoff to the title, Marvel Heroes Omega, will be gracing the PS4 and Xbox One. Even better for Sony and Microsoft console gamers is that the release is expected soon according to Dorman with a spring release date.
Marvel Heroes Omega is described as a free to play online action RPG set in the Marvel Universe. As seen in the announcement trailer for Omega, it looks like Gazillion has thrown the full Marvel catalog of superheroes at the game in order to establish an authentic feel of allowing gamers to step into the shoes of whoever they love in the Marvel universe (fingers crossed for Awesome Android and Flag Smasher).
According to Dorman, “Everyone here at Gaz has been working overtime to ensure that both Marvel Heroes Omega for console and our existing PC game deliver everything players expect from a top-tier online action-RPG. After three years of significant post-launch improvements to just about every single aspect of the game, I believe we achieved that.”. He continues, “While we’re excited to introduce Earth’s mightiest action-RPG to consoles, don’t think for a minute that we’ve forgotten about our PC players who have supported us from the very first day Marvel Heroes launched. Like many great cross-platform free-to-play games, PC support will continue. Everyone here at Gazillion is a fan at heart. As gamers and Marvel fans, this title continues to be a true passion project for everyone. And by everyone, I really do mean ev-er-y-one. Late nights and weekend work are par for the course. But that’s the thing about working on a property you respect with peers who feel more like family than colleagues: work feels less like work and more like a mission we’re all in together. ”
With a lot of stated love and attention to the source material then it looks like all gamers have to do is wait until the not too distant spring to see for themselves given that the title is free to play.
