Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for season two of Loki. The poster features different variants of the God of Mischief (Tom Hiddleston) racing against time on the face of a Miss Minutes watch. Season two will see Loki teaming up with Owen Wilson’s Mobius, Hunter B-15, and several other new and recurring characters. They are all in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. They navigate the importance of free will and purpose as they seek out Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, and Miss Minutes. Loki season two will be released on October 6th as the second series in Phase Five of the MCU following Secret Invasion.

Loki season two is the long-awaited continuation of Marvel Studios’ most-watched series on Disney+. The show’s second season was announced quickly after the series’ success, though it has taken time for this new season to get off the ground. Loki and Morpheus both appeared in the post-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. In that scene, they encountered Victor Timely (Jonathan Majors), a variant of the villain Kang the Conqueror. The character will appear in Loki season two.
Hiddleston’s Loki first appeared in the MCU in Thor (2011). He became the main antagonist of the first Avengers movie in 2011. He then appeared in Thor: The Dark World (2013), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). While the character was killed in Infinity War, the villain from the first Avengers movie managed to rewrite his fate due to a time-traveling mishap in Endgame. It is that version of Loki we are following in the series.
